How to use and care after use
· Before using the clay pots season them by soaking in normal water overnight. Scrub from inside and it’s ready to use.
· All Pots and Pans are for Gas stove on low heat. Use of electric stove should be with a diffuser plate on low to medium heat (diffuser not sold with this unit).
· Pots with thin base are good for serving food or making curd. For cooking, use pots with heavy base.
· Never clean the clay pots and pans in the dishwasher. Hand wash only with lemon and hot water. No soap required. You can use wooden spatula or plastic brush to clean as well.
· Stubborn stains in the clay pot can be removed by adding hot water and salt. This will dilute the hard spots. Remove it with a soft brush in 10 minutes. Wash thoroughly with clean water.
· Do not use harsh abrasives and metallic brushes.
· Do not overload the clay pot with food. Use bigger pots and pans for party cooking.
· Hold the pots and pans from the bottom with silicone coasters or oven mitts.
· Do not preheat pots and pans without food. Grease your pot with oil or ghee from inside if required.
· Clay pots and pans with metal, cannot be used in Microwave.
· Do not expose hot pots and pans with cold liquids immediately after cooking. It would crack the pots and pans. Wait till the pot cools down on its own.
· Pots or Mugs unless mentioned are not for water storage. They would leak. Soaking overnight will season the pots.
· Water Jug and Pitchers should be soaked for a week before use. Let the water drain fully for 6-7 times before using.
